Turkey Nails (Toesy)

Hey Ladies,

I know its past Thanksgiving but I just had to post these cute little Turkey heads I did on my Moms toes.

I hope you guys like this!

From now on I have decided to start a tumblr and start posting my nail art there instead of here. Reason being because I usually never know what to say on this blog and it would be easier just to post photos.

Hope you guys follow me there! Will be posting Christmas nails through out this month =]

Fall leaves

Hey Ladies, first I have a question, do you guys know a good free easy program that water marks photos? I've been using free trail ones but now its up and wants about $30 for them and I think its a little steep since this is just a hobby and not a job for me =]. Please comment below and let me know.

This week I wanted to do fall leaves because its been really cold outside and the leaves are changing colors. I think fall colors are so beautiful and cozy at the same time.  So What I did was painted a tree every other finger with fall colors dots as leaves. My pointer finger was sponged on with 3 colors and the green specks you see there is suppose to be leaves  falling =]

I hope you guys like this simple look

I use a striper brush, dotting tools, and makeup sponge.

"This is Halloween" Challenge : Trick or Treat nails

Hey Ladies! Wow this challenge is over today I am a bit behind! I still haven't had time to to recreate something I probably will have to do it tonight after work just to finish off the challenge.

This is a simple design for me because I used stamping on most of my nails. I used the bundle monster 2012 stamping that has different kind of candy on them and just added 3 different nail polish color and just scrape it and this is what the colors came out as. I thought it turned out great!  I used white base and did gradient sponging on every other nails. With the middle finger I wrote in Trick or Treat and it turned out crooked but that's okay!  On my thumb I drew a Halloween bag I hope you guys can see it. I wished I would of mixed  the orange with a little white to make it more pastel color to fit the theme of my other nails.

I hope you guys like this look! Choose any color you guys like!

"This is Halloween" Challenge: Graveyard

Hey Ladies,

I saw this design on rina-alcantara.com and I just had to recreate it. Even though it is not exactly the same I still love this design. It was very simple because all you need was 2 colors, a natural nail polish which here I used Essie- Topless and Barefoot and black polish or acrylic paint which you can get at any craft store. First I painted the base coat waited it to dry or dry enough that I could paint on the designs. Every nail is different type of graveyard designs. I love the little owl on the thumb.. should of made the tree branch less straight because it almost looks fake haha! On my right had was a tad bit harder to do but it is also different from my left hand and my thumb has a cat! I wasn't planning on drawing a black cat because I didn't think I could but as i was drawing the tombstone and I thought it looked almost like a cat and all I need was a tail, head and ears.

I hope you guys like this designs/recreation

"This is Halloween" Challenge : Witches nails

 Hey Ladies!

Yesterday challenge was witches nails and I saw an image at Michael and I wanted to recreate the witches hat on each nails. I love the black, purple, green and orange look because for some reason those colors just scream witch to me. So I picked a light purple base color so the witches hat would stand out instead of a darker color.  Each finger has a different unique designs to the hat because I thought it would make it more fun then just a same ol' monotone design. The pinky just has different color polka dots.

What I used:
China Glaze : Agent Lavender ( base color)
Black Acrylic paint for the black hat
China Glaze- Tree hugger
Essie braziliant
Dotting tools and a small stripper brush

With my right hand I wanted just to have the two combination of the colors on my left hand. I thought they would go well together and grab more attention in public =]

I hope you guys like this simple design!

Mummy Toesie!

Hey Ladies,

So I was asked by my lovely mother if I could do some Halloween nail art on her toes and I couldn't pass it up! I always told her that I wish I had an extra set of hand so I could do more nail art HAHA!  I decided to do a mummy nail for her big toes because I have never done that before and it was really easy/cute. All I did was painted her big toes white and the rest black with nubar 2010 nail polish on top of it to give it more depth.  Then lastly added random stripes on the the toes to make it look like bandages.  At the last minute she saw that I had cute spider on my nail designed and asked me if I could fit one on one of her toes. That is it!

Anyway I hope you guys like this design!

"The is Halloween " Challenge : Gradient Nails

I think most people was thinking the same thing when the word gradient came up on this Halloween Challenge. I was impatient and I messed up with my pointer finger so I took a quick photo of it before I could mess up anything else lol. I was not feeling too creative with this theme. I wanted it to be Halloween but do it in a gradient manner and candy corn was perfect for this theme.

What I used:
China glaze - Lemon fizz
wet and wild- sunny side up
Sinful color - snow me white
Makeup sponge.

I hope you guys like this

 Hey Ladies!

I almost forgot today was Bat day! Better late than never right?  This is the fourth time I attempted bat nails and this was the only one I kept on my nails I just realize I can't really draw bats! LOL
Anyway I really liked the base color I came up with by layering two different polish. I carefully drew the bats on my nails with black acrylic paint and the drew a tree with upside down bats..... I guess you didn't see that until I mentioned it huh =)
Sorry about the photo quality, my mom actually took my camera to work and left it there >_<! so this was taken by my phone.

What I used:
Essie-Lilacism (base)
Sinful color- Nail junkie (on top)
Acrylic paint
Small dotting tools
short stripper brush for tree

I hope you guys like it!

The Halloween Challenge

Hey Ladies,
I know I'm a bit late on this challenge but I have been doing Halloween nails though :). I like this challenge because it was not an everyday thing so it was quite manageable for me. I got this from lacquerdreams.blogspot.com

I'm starting on October 15, which is a zombie nail so I will post that tomorrow.  What I was thinking of doing was trying create all the other nail challenge that I've missed but we will see. Yesterday I did a ghost nail design so I hope you guys check it out.

"This is Halloween" Challenge: Ghost Nails

Hey Ladies,
Today I did a ghost nail. I painted my nails white and first wanted to do mummy Halloween nails but then I got lazy with all the taping to get the lines straight.  What I did was use black acrylic paint to outline the ghost shape then added the eyes and mouth. I made it look more friendly ghost ( like Casper) then a scary screaming one. On my pinky I wanted to add a spider but its sort of creeping me out! I hate/fear spiders. My thumb I wanted to add the word  "Boo!" just in case no one can figure out my crappy drawing LOL! The top image I added a black and orange confetti glitter I got from Gap when I was 12 just to add a little more color to this mani.

                                I added the glitter afterwards.

I hope you guys like this!

Halloween nails- Bones and Haunted house!

I did these in the past week and a half but forgot to post them so now I will post both!  The quality isn't so great because it was taken from my iphone. I will start using my regular camera when I do another nail designs.
The first nail I wanted to do was Bones, just plain bones with no blood; then I added blood on the bones to make it more spooky because it is Halloween nails after all.  For people with bigger nail bed, this design would look great because you could add more bones to make it look like a pattern nail design.

I used a black base nail polish from Wet n Wild and dotting tool in white polish from sinful colors to make the bone shape.

This week I decided to do haunted nails ,then again I do apologies if it did not turn out to well. Im a little rusty as you guys could already tell how little I have posted this year.

I hope you guys like my designs =]

Cotton Candy nails

Hey Ladies!

I know I haven't posted for a while, I just haven't been motivated enough to do my nails anymore.   I would usually paint my nails and be done with it. But lately I've been wanted to get back on nail designing and posting again.... maybe because I was getting bored or more motivated.

I hope you guys like this nail look.

What I used:

Sally Hansen- Baracuda as a base
Essie- Lilacism
OPI- Mod about you
China Glaze -Lemon Fizz

Faux-nad image plate I got off of amazon.

Enjoy! Look out for more nail designs next week!

My tuxedo nails

Hey guys! I havent done any nail art since the last time I posted something about my nails. Sorry I don't have any watermark on my photos because I lost everything on my computer so I dont have all the programs I ued to use anymore.
Anyway I saw this nail designs on Youtube by cutepolish and decided to try it out because she made it look so easy.

-What I did was first I painted my nails white as a base color. I used Sinful color in snow me white
(This is my favorite white nail polish btw)
-Secondly I waited for the white polish to try and then I went in with a black striper polish and made a V shape then filled in the outer with black polish with a toothpick.
-Thirdly I added a bow this will take some steady hands but I just did an X with my striper polish then filled in the rest to make the bow.
-Lastly I added 2 buttons as dots.

Then top coat to make it all shinny then I was done, Warning, I would wait for the polishes to dry before you put a top coat because it can spear your art work.

It would also be need to add red bow instead of a black bow to change some stuff up.

I hope you guys like this look!

Essie-Lady Like swatch/review

Essie Lady like is from one of their newest collection ( not latest) called Essie's Carry On collection. Out of all the colors this one is the only one that drawn to me. At first I thought maybe I already have something similar to this but then being a polish addict as I am I got it anyway even though my friends told me NO MORE nail polish hahaha. They just dont know how important nail polishes are to me hahaha...
I would describe this color as a muted dusty rose/a hint of purple/grey base undertone. This is a creme color with no shimmer or anything to it. When I first bought it home, I thought to myself... hmm this is not a special color.. no wow or pow factor but when you put it on your hands it makes your hands seems so delicate looking. So " pure" if you catch my drift =).

Application:
This color only needed two coats, it applied very smoothly which was surprising to me because usually I have troubles with my Essie nail polishes. I was able to paint very close to my cuticles without it pooling which was fantastic. I really enjoy using essie nail polishes and I have worn this for 5-7 days without chipping which was nice. After the 7th day I can see the nail polish cracking but no chipping. I would also like to add I dont do any dishes so it would probably last 3-5 days if you do ton of house work. I do however type a lot and the polish holds up very well.
I think everyone should own this nail polish because it is very wearable for all skin tones. Pale, med, yellow, olives.. etc. This polish will be very appropriate for the job market because its very muted and not too bam in your face color. I will be repurchasing this color when I run out.
Do you guys own this color?
What color colors did you get from Essie's Carry On collection?
What are your thoughts?

Nail Polishes I packed to school/ new polishes

I just wanted to do this to show you guys what I brought with me to school for my last semester. As you guys read in my previously nail polish post, I was not allowed to bring to many nail polish to school ahahha.
when you see my mini collection you will understand why I haven't posted any nail art lately because looking at what I got I lost all motivation LOL! plus im taking 6 classes right now so im really busy.
I also got a few new nail polishes I will share in this post with you guys as well!
Zoya:

Ibiza- Dark Navy Blue with shimmer, super pretty in the sunlight.. It looks almost black but not quite. I believe I did a post on this already.

caitlin- Purple/grey color. Love this color great for fall
Essie:

Absolutely shore- pretty baby green color! This was my go to color in the summer love it
Buy me a cameo- I won this in a giveaway and I really like this color.. its a rosy gold color .

Coat azure- I never leave anywhere without this color this is one of m favorite medium tone blue color, it has a little shimmer in it but not too much where it looks childish
Nice is Nice- very pretty/wearable lilac color. It has a more of a pink undertone than blue so I love it.
Sephora Metro chic- I use to wear this color all the time last fall.. wore it once already I really like it but not enough to wear again.. I hope when it gets colder I will want to wear this color again. This is a mauvy dirty grey/purple color

opi extravagance- I needed a pretty sparkly color so I decided to bring this one. Pretty maroon color. the only bad thing about this is that it chips so fast no mater what base coat or top coat I use.
China glaze- TMI ( What does this stand for by the way?)- Coraly color. Great summer color

Sally hansen Barracuda- My favorite baby blue nail polish of all times- This also goes everywhere with me. I shook up the bottle so it looks pretty when i take the picture but I used 1/4 of the bottle already =]

lastly... Club color poptastic- great hot neon pink colors. I would wear this on my nails in the summer and on the toes when ever I feel like my feet needs a pick me up LOL
now on to the new colors I got recently:
Essie- Lady Like- pretty mauve pink/ purple color. everyone needs this in their collection PERIOD. when I was at target my friend tried to talk me out of buying this because I have so many nail polishes and she said I probably have something that looks like it and I told her I didnt but then I put it back anyway. Then i contemplated for 2 weeks and I knew I wanted it badly enough so I got it. I wore this color 3 times since i got it and thats saying a lot because I usually don't like wearing the colors consecutively . First I wore it for 1 week, reapplied it for the second week and took a week off to wear a different color now im back wearing it today. I will do a NOTD post soon.
Next I got:
orly- nite owl- pretty nude with grey undertones. This have pretty silver sparkles that are not too noticeable
Revlon- copper penny, a copper color =p
Revlon- gold coin- gold foil like polish, super pretty. Very fitting color for the holidays
The sally hansen- that was given to me. I forgot the name of it and the sticker was taken off
Lastly Confetti Tasmanian Devil... you can never have too many Deborah Lippmann " happy birthday" nail polish dupes hahahahah

If you guys want any review on these nail polishes I just listed let me know.

Calgon Refreshing Body Mist- Red Velvet

From my yesterday haul, I got a body splash, which I heard from  michele1218 and http://nouveaucheap.blogspot.com/, Calgon body mist- red velvet. That's right I said it! Red Velvet Body splash =).   I am a big fan of foody/ bake good smells. I love anything that smells like cake/vanilla/ Vanilla frosting!  When you first spray it on I can really smell the " Cream cheese frosting", then it tone down after 30 seconds into a sweet yet subtle red velvet cake smell. It also have a slight musk to the smell which is nice because it wont be sicking sweet smell where it would give you a headache because it is very light. You cant really over spray this body mist, I sprayed maybe 10 times over my body and it smells exactly the same if I sprayed only 5, this is another reason why I love this! Every one nose is different and pick up different scent but over all I am a huge fan of this smell.  Im also a huge fan of Bath and Body works Summer Vanilla in Lemon but they discontinued it. The only bad thing about the Red velvet one is that it does not last long at all. Maybe 1-2 hours max ( With massive amount of spray) but its so cheap I would just layer on more once the scent is gone. This is why I love the Summer Vanilla in lemon because that scent literally as me 8 hours easy. This cost me about 6.99 but they have coupons on Calgon website for $1 off.

Overall I highly recommend this if you like dessert/vanilla smell.

Rite Aid Haul

Hey ladies! I went to Rite Aid yesterday to check out some new nail polishes because I haven't bought any in a while.  I saw that Revlon was having 40% off their regular nail polish lines and as well as their other cosmetics.  I picked up 2 colors from their metallic line and I absolutely adore these colors!

The colors I picked up were:
-Copper penny: This polish color looks just like a copper penny but with silver flecks in them which gives you a foil like finish.
- Gold Coin:  this is a gold color with silver undertone. Sometimes I see gold and sometimes I see more silver;  I think it really depends on the lighting.  This also gives you a foil like finish.

The last thing I got was a body splash from CALGON in Red Velvet! I will do a review on this soon.

L'Occitane en provence Hand Cream

Hey Ladies, today I will do a small review on my new favorite hand cream.  I recently got this from Sephora about 3 days ago and I couldn't  be more happier with my purchase.  I got this hand cream because I wanted a good quality hand cream where it would moisturize without feeling greasy .  This cream sink into your hand almost instantly which was one of the key perks about this product; it did not leave any greasy film behind which I find a lot in other hand cream.  My mom has very dry hands which cracks and bleed as well so I hope this hand cream will continue to amaze me because I will definitely get this for my mom for Christmas.

I only got the traveling size tube, which is around $10 for a 30ml ( 1 oz). The biggest size they have is 5.2 oz for $26.  Yes, I know its a little pricy but I promise it will be worth it and plus you only need a small amount ( about a pea size, anything beyond that will be too much).  This product is infused with 20% Shea butter and I believe this the important ingredient to the hand cream.. Yes I can just go get Shea butter which will be cheaper but it will be too greasy to my liking.  This is a very thick cream as you can see in the photo I provided below. The smell is uber amazing! If you're a fan of baby Johnson baby ( pink bottle) lotion smell then you will love this because it smells very similar if not identical to that.  I love the packaging . It reminds me of tooth paste and the consistency is around the same.  This product makes your hands really baby bottom soft =D.  It lingers on your hand for a long time even if you wash your hands multiple times through out the day.  I really hope you guys enjoy this review and check out the product. You can get this at Sephora or at their store.  l'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

Summer flower nails

Hey Ladies! This was one of the nails I did over summer but never posted on here. Sorry I've been MIA ( missing in action ) lately . I am at my final semester at my University and I did not bring a lot of nail polishes so I wont be painting my nails very much.  I will return doing more nail art when I get back home and reunited with all my polishes =D

Anyway I hope you guys like this nail art I did.  The key in achieving this look is small strokes for the flowers and layering the colors to give it more dimension.

Stuff I used:
Base Color: China Glaze Lemon Fizz
Acrylic for the flowers
1/10 size brush from Michaels
